Experience

Lufthansa came to SapientNitro looking for a Digital AOR. Over the course of three weeks I lead a large multidisciplinary team of strategists, experience designers, visual designers and copy writers in Cologne, Germany.

Our overall approach was to create a hyper contextual/personalized experience that reinforces Lufthansa's status as a "luxury performance" airline while reviving and optimizing the bold and iconic visual identity created by Otl Aicher in the 1960's.

By default, the app displays only the most contextually relevant content. For example, after having passed through the security check-point it would prioritize the gate number of your departing flight.

 
 

World’s best “Baggage Page”

 

We demonstrated how the essence of the new Lufthansa Brand permeates every aspect of the experience. Even to something as mundane as a “baggage page”.

 
 

Booking Flow made easy

 

Booking a flight is a notoriously cumbersome and complex task. We explored how to clarify the options based on the users’ preferences. The booking flow culminated in a presenting the viewer with a view of their “boarding pass”.
