Mastercard – one of the most iconic and ubiquitous brands in the world – went through a redesign of their brand identity, and asked us to help deploy the new identity on a global scale.
First we developed a vision and roadmap of the global Mastercard design ecosystem, as well as define the brand for the digital space. Then we created the “Mastercard design center”. We started shaping our point of view by drawing from a combination of powerful inputs.
Humanizing the experience.
To understand the current design ecosystems we created a map of it. This gave us a big-picture view of what applications are being used and how people are using them. It also helped us see areas for simplification.
We then developed three personas to represent who would engage with this new ecosystem and maintained a laser focus on addressing their needs and alleviating their pain points.

Once our vision and roadmap was set, we designed and developed the “Mastercard Design Center”.
As the hub of the digital ecosystem, it advances design at Mastercard by elevating the brand and helping drive meaningful differentiation in Mastercard’s products, services, and communications.It has a public and private side (login required), and serves in both educational and functional roles.
